Jr. Angler Easter Egg Hunt
The Club’s first Junior Angler Easter Egg Hunt was a big success!
On April 17th JOSFC held its first Easter Egg Hunt. Even though the weather was wet and cold it could not put a damper on the enthusiasm that they Jr. Anglers had.
Cassie, Monica and others put over 200 eggs stuffed with chocolate and special prizes. Out of the 200 eggs hidden 5 were a special gold metallic egg that held grand prizes. We had 5 in all. The prizes ranged from Easter egg baskets to rod and reels. The Grand Prize was a Penn Battle 3000 valued over $100.00. The hunt took place at the playground across the street with the children running here and there looking and finding eggs. Wet, cold but with smiles on their faces the children returned to go thru their prizes and have pizza with ice cream bars.
I would like to thank all of the Parents and Grandparents who participated in this event. In case you missed this fun time stay tuned as we will have other events for the Jr. Anglers in the near future. In spite of the weather, we had about 15 Junior Anglers bring their parents and show up for the First Annual JOSFC Junior Angler Easter Egg Hunt!
They won everything from Easter Baskets, to Shakespeare Rod & Reels to the Grand Prize of a really nice Penn Spinning Rod & Reel!
Things actually worked out really well for the Easter Egg Hunt. It drizzled while Cassi was hiding the eggs, but then it stopped, and the sun almost came out while the kids did their hunt.
I can guarantee you that both the kids, parents and grandparents had a blast!
