The Men’s Sailfish Pot Party 2010

The Men’s Sailfish Pot Party 2010

Sailfish Pot Prizes

Wow!  What a great party!   If you missed the 2010 Sailfish Pot Party, you should seriously consider kicking yourself around the block at least once.

Gary Newman put on a great party, no, scratch that, Gary put on an absolutely awesome party, and everyone had a great time.  While not everyone won something in the raffle, I am sure that almost everyone went home with something.

There were some outstanding prizes, including a top quality BBQ Grill from Southern Propane, that the ever lucky

Eddie McGowan won.  (I will get back to Lucky Eddie Later.)Eddie (Not Roger Walker) in front of his Grill!

Gary had plenty of the standard Sailfish Pot Party fair for us to eat.  We started off with Grilled Chicken Wings, and your choice of sauces to top them.  From Plain BBQ to Burn your tongue off hot.  We then had both cold Raw Oysters and Steamed Oysters of open and eat all you wanted. Oysters, all you can eat! ( I quit at 3 dozen, had to save room for the steak.) and finally with your entry fee you got a big juicy Rib-Eye Steak.  You then took your steak out to the Grill and grilled it to your liking.  Inside you picked up a Hot Baked Potato and big salad to go with your steak.  To wash down the food we had Beer, Cold bottled Water, Beer, Softdrinks, Beer, and of course more BeerGrill your own!

Now back to Lucky Eddie. (Also known as Edwina) In the picture Eddie is holding a sign that says “No Roger Walker”  it seams that every year Southern Propane donates something (Great business, be sure to shop there for your grills and propane!) and every year Roger Walker won it.  This year Roger was Banned from winning the Southern Propane prizes. (Not really, we rescinded the ban at the last second.)

Eddie also won several other prizes of C & H Lures, and other fishing treasures, AND I kid you not, Lucky Eddie McGowan also won the Grand Prize, a Mercury 4 Stroke 9.9 HP Outboard Motor!

Just look at that grin on Eddie’s face!  Now that alone is reason to go to the Sailfish Pot Party!Eddie on the right, with his Motor

If you weren’t there, you missed a great party!
